Drones & Equipment

Our Aerial Equipment

Carbonic Group currently uses DJI's Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 Pro, and Inspire 2, as well as Yuneec's Typhoon H. We choose the drone that works best for the current job. We plan on adding more drones to our fleet over the course of time.

We mostly choose DJI equipment because we believe they offer the most advanced aerial photography equipment and camera gimbal system. The DJI Inspire 2, Phantom 4 Pro, and Mavic Pro can also be set up to fly indoors. The Inspire 2 is capable of flying through power lines without electromagnet interference.

All of our equipment is maintained to the highest standards by our FAA inspected and approved operating procedures.

Our standard UAV drone's cameras film in Ultra-HD 4K video and 12+ megapixel still images, using the latest in camera stabilization technology. The Inspire 2 cameras are broadcast quality and can feed into any live television broadcast. The Phantom 4 Pro records Ultra-HD 4K video and 20 megapixel still images.

Mavic Pro

The DJI Mavic Pro is a small yet powerful drone that turns the sky into your creative canvas easily and without worry,
helping you make every moment an aerial moment. Its compact size hides a high degree of complexity that makes it one of DJI’s most
sophisticated flying cameras ever. 24 high-performance computing cores, an all-new transmission system with a 4.3mi (7km) *range,
5 vision sensors, and a 4K camera stabilized by a 3-axis mechanical gimbal, are at your command
with just a push of your thumb or a tap of your finger.
*Unobstructed, free of interference, when FCC compliant.

  • Great for Roof, Attic and Confined Space Inspections
  • H264 video at 4k at 60fps
  • H265 video at 30fps
  • 1/2.3” (CMOS), Effective pixels:12.35 M (Total pixels:12.71M)
  • 30 mins flight time
  • 8 mi control range
  • 40 mph speed

Phanton 4 pro

The DJI Phantom 4 Pro is the best all-purpose drone available. Shooting in 4K up to 60 frames per second, up to thirty minutes of flight time, its ease of use, and the many intelligent flight modes make this drone perfect for practically any job.

  • H264 video at 4k at 60fps
  • H265 video at 30fps
  • 1’’ 20MP CMOS sensor
  • 30 mins flight time
  • 7 km control range
  • 72 km/h speed

Inspire 2

The Inspire 2 takes everything that was good about the Inspire 1 and improves it. The image processing system CineCore2.0 has been upgraded to CineCore2.1,
recording video at up to 6K in CinemaDNG/RAW and 5.2K in Apple ProRes when used with Zenmuse X7 camera. It goes from 0 to 50 mph (80 kph) in just 5 seconds and
hits a maximum speed of 58 mph (94 kph) and has a max descent speed of 9m/s for unheard of speed and agility in an aircraft this size. A dual battery system
prolongs the flight time to a maximum of 27 minutes (with an X4S), while self-heating technology allows it to fly even in low temperatures.
FlightAutonomy has been revised and developed specifically for the Inspire 2, providing two directions of obstacle avoidance and sensor redundancy.
Increased intelligence adds multiple intelligent flight modes, including Spotlight Pro, giving even single pilots the ability to create complex, dramatic shots.
An upgraded video transmission system is now capable of dual signal frequency and dual channel, streaming video from an onboard FPV
camera and the main camera simultaneously, for better pilot and camera operator collaboration.

A3 Pro Flight Controller, Superlative Performance.

  • Complete Integration, Ultra Convenient
  • Charge Six Batteries Simultaneously
  • Aerial Imaging Solution
  • Extended Flight Time and Transmission Range
  • Professional HD Transmission

Typhoon H

The Typhoon H from Yuneec is a hexacopter, meaning it uses six propellers. Should one of the propellers fail, the drone can still fly with five propellers. It supports a 360 degree camera, shoots in 4K in 30 frames per second. In addition to the main ST16 controller, the Typhoon H also supports the Typhoon H Wizard, a device shaped like a TV remote that can control the drone. The Typhoon H has a Follow feature allowing the drone to automatically follow the person holding the controller. The Typhoon H Wizard can clip to a person's waist, allowing one to take photos and video without holding the controller using the Follow feature. The Typhoon H is perfect for those desiring tracking shots.

ST16 controller, Typhoon H Wizard controller

  • 25 minute flight-time
  • Intel® RealSense technology for obstacle avoidence
  • 360 degree camera
  • 4K 30 fps video
  • Follow function

Additional Equipment

Drone Controller

Professional Remote Controller

Each drone is controlled by its remote controller. The controller either has a built in monitor or connects to a mobile device to access an app that acts as the viewfinder and heads-up display to control the settings and control the drone in the air.

Handheld Stabilizer

Handheld Camera Stabilizer

When using handheld cameras for a production, a stabilizer will help hold the camera to keep it steady and reduce unwanted movements. These typically involve mounting the camera to the stabilizer and have it lean against the photographer’s body.

Drone Cameras & Lenses

Drone Cameras & Lenses

The camera that attaches to the drone is small in size and itself attaches to an apparatus known as a gimbal which attaches to the drone. The gimbal allows the camera to freely tilt up and down and sometimes pan left and right to smoothly capture the shot.
